June is here, so it’s time for another round of postals, please record your first round of the month.

1 team Compound Long Warwick – team of 3 senior compound archers 2 doz @ 80yds and 2 doz @ 60yds

2 team Recurve Long Warwick – teams of 3 non compound archers 2 doz @ 80yds and 2 doz @ 60yds

1 team Longbow Short Warwick – team of 3 longbow archers 2 doz @ 50yds and 2 doz @ 40yds

1 team Recurve Short Warwick – team of 3 non compound archers 2 doz @ 50yds and 2 doz @ 40yds

1 team Junior Short Warwick – team of U16 archers one of which may be compound 2 doz @ 30yds and 2 doz @ 20yds

All rounds are 5 zone scoring on a 122cm face with 6 sighters allowed at the longest distance

Arrow Workshop

Monday 12th May 2014:

I will be running a workshop/presentation regarding: Arrow selection – Cutting shafts with electric arrow cutter – Weighing arrows and components and Assembly of components.

This will be held at the indoor unit and start at 7.00 pm.

Rather cold and windy, but a good turnout for John.

Archery GB Level 1 Coach Course

The Level1 Coach Course that is being organised by Brixham Archers has now started and on the way.
Hopefully Brixham Archers will gain 5 new active Level 1 Coaches after the final assessment in July.

Torbay Olympic Partnership Challenge

On the 31st of April, Brixham Archers facilitated an archery competition for the Olympic Partnership Challenge 2014, at PCSA .
The teams taking part were from PCSA – Hospital – PCT and Council.
A new experience for most of the competitors, they all seemed very competitive.
The team from PCSA were the eventual winners of the archery event.
