Winter League Update

BrixhamArchWintLeag6-page-001

Unfortunately we have another retirement. As we were unaware of this retirement when scoring the previous round we have had to recalculate the scores for round 4 (sorry Stuart).

When a competitor retires we still believe the fairest way forward is to use their average score (to the point of retirement) for their remaining rounds for other members to shoot against. A couple of members have suggested alternatives such as recalculating all previous rounds with the retired shooter removed which will lead to some major adjustments in at the end of the competition. This is not a problem for us but it will result in quite a lot of position changes and upset people!  Another suggestion is to record a zero for all future rounds which then seems unfair to competitors who have already shot against that person and maybe lost.

We hope to iron out these issues for the next competition with some clear rules in place. In the meantime please remember its only a bit of fun and something a bit more entertaining than a simple practice shoot.

Regards

Rob
